Province Announces New Bus Pass Program for Income Assistance Recipients and Their Families in Halifax

On Wednesday, December 13/17, the Nova Scotia Government, in collaboration with HRM and Halifax Transit, announced a plan to provide all Income Assistance recipients and their families with bus passes, as long as they live within an area serviced by public transit. The plan is expected to come into effect in the spring of 2018, and will impact the lives of up to 16,000 individuals. For more information, click - HERE
